Progress & Prosperity II
$2.8 million Campaign Goal
Progress & Prosperity II is a five-year $2.8 million initiative.
Investors are supporting a progressive economic development program designed
to build
on the proven strengths and achievements of Progress & Prosperity I. It
sets specific return on investment goals, in terms of new jobs and business
investments and will be accountable to its investors and the community.
Measuring Success
The projected impact of Progress & Prosperity II is both
dramatic and measurable. By the end of 2008 the program is expected to:
- Create 1,200 new primary jobs
- Create 1,000 new secondary jobs
- Generate $52 million in gross annual payroll
- Generate $27 million in annual consumer expenditures
- Result in at least $105 million of capital investment
- Broaden property tax base by $7.6 million per year
Initiative One
Business Development Initiative - $2,500,000
- The purchase of land for new commercial and industrial building sites
enabling Cheyenne LEADS to entice companies to move or expand into Cheyenne/Laramie
County.
- The addition of infrastructure to those sites.
- Prioritization of prospects that will generate at least 1,200 new
primary jobs and 1,000 secondary over the five year program
Initiative two
Work Force Development Initiative - $100,000
- Funding to defray the costs of work force development and training
programs for prospects that create new jobs. Develop customized programs when
necessary.
Initiative three
Community Development Initiative - $200,000
- Funding for Quality of Life initiatives to enhance the community
for our residents, potential new employees, and their families
